With over two decades of experience in the mortgage industry, Mewael has worked at all levels of the business, holding previous positions as a Loan Originator, Branch Manager, Executive Vice President of Operations, Chief Production Officer, and most recently Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As CEO, Mewael brings together the sales and operations teams to achieve an integrated high-quality customer experience. Continually implementing efficiency opportunities, Mewael strives to optimize the NRL lending process every step of the way, achieving some of the fastest turn times in the industry. Just as passionate about the employee and branch experience, Mewael embodies NRL’s ICARE values. He leads with an emphasis on transparency, relationships, and compassion. Mewael has an FHA Direct Endorsement certification and is a member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Mortgage Bankers Association. He is a native Houstonian who attended the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing golf and rooting for his favorite sports teams - the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and the Texas Longhorns.
